A: Ammy because she is the only one who is completely moral and Loki because he's clever.


4. Characters 1 and 2 from each team face off. Describe the battle, and who wins.
A: Ammy and Natasha vs. Loki and N/Zekrom

(longest answer, bear with me)

"Loki! Surrender!" Black Widow calls, Amaterasu growling at her side. The great trees of Agata Forest loom around them, their bases drenched in fog, their roots housing small pockets of water. "This is a fight you cannot win!"
"Romanov, you insult me. You really think I do not have a plan?" The lone figures calls back.
Storm clouds begin to swirl in the sky, accompanied by rain so heavy Natasha almost looses sight of her quarry. Then suddenly a flash of lightning illuminates a huge black shape above them.
"Amaterasu." Natasha says, stepping back warily, "What is that?"
But before Amaterasu or her Poncle can reply, the great black dragon lands in front of them, roaring angrily, blue lightning flashing around it. A figure can almost be seen sitting on it's back.
"Not too late, Loki?" The figure asks.
"Perfect timing as usual, N." The heroes can almost hear the smirk in Loki's voice, "Who's on no position to fight now, Romanov?"
"Agent Romanov, go after Loki!" Issun shouts over the raging wind.
"But the-"
"Don't worry about us babe, Ammy's a master at taking down monsters! Go!"
Natasha hesitates, then nods, pelting off into the heavy rain towards Loki, leaving Amaterasu crouched before the great dragon, ready to attack.
"Give up now, wolf!" N yells. Amaterasu growls at him, then throws her head back and howls. The thunderclouds above her split, casting a beam of sunlight down on her like a divine spotlight.
"Bring it dragon man!" Issun shouts.
Amaterasu draws three inky lines in the air before her, and Zekrom suddenly finds himself in the midst of a raging gale. He roars in anger, attempting to take off, but his huge wings are torn around in the vortex as easily as scraps of fabric. The great dragon looks around desperately for his attacker, but before he can find her he feels three divine rosary beads slam into his side. Already unbalanced, he falls, throwing N off his back. Zekrom struggles to get up but before he can he is engulfed in a storm of raging fire.
As it dies, all he sees is a White wolf stalking towards him in the fast returning daylight, before he blacks out.
Amaterasu leaps and lands on N, pinning him down, and growls at him, her muzzle almost touching his face. He stares up defiantly at her for a few seconds, before looking away in defeat.
Amaterasu snorts and climbs off him.
"Nice one Ammy! Well, you know the drill!" But Amaterau is ignoring him, looking around for her companion in the thick fog. She spots her quickly, but it is not what she would like to see. Natasha is on the floor, Loki's sceptre almost touching her neck.
""Impressive, Okami Amaterasu. But I fear that though you may have won the battle," he grins, "the war is mine."
"Let her go!" Issun shouts angrily.
"Why, bug."
"I'm not a bug!!" Issun yells.
"Surrender now, wolf!"
"Never!"
"So be it." He pulls the sceptre back, ready to stab Natasha. Quick as a flash, Amaterasu draws two lines before her. A strange pink-tinged mist descends. Loki brings the sceptre towards Natasha's throat so fast it would have been impossible to stop had Amaterasu not just slowed time. The sun goddess, already an impossibly fast, streaks towards Loki. To the god of mischief, it seems as if she had teleported, for but moments ago he was about to dispatch of one of his enemies, and the next he is flat on his back with a panting, and growling, wolf in his face.
He throws her off, but the distraction has allowed Natasha to scramble away. Amaterasu lands on her feet, immediately launching a string of Rosary beads at Loki, but he is too quick and dodges, launching a bolt of blue electricity, which hits the wolf straight in the chest, throwing her back.
Amaterasu shakily tries to get to her feet, panting. Loki walks over to her, his eyes gloating, and kicks her back to the floor. Issun angrily tries to attack Loki, but the god bats him aside.
"Prepare to die, Amaterasu." Loki smirks down at her where she lies panting. His sceptre crackles with electricity as he raises it above his head. Then he brings it down towards the wolf, releasing a great stream of lightning.
Concentrating the last of her energy, Amaterasu draws an inky line connecting the lightning back to it's wielder, redirecting it. Loki is thrown back from the force of his own attack, and does not move from where he lands.
Amaterasu whimpers slightly, again getting to her feet. Her faithful Poncle approaches her, caring a small bone with strange decorations. Amaterasu wolfs it down gratefully as Issun leaps back onto her back.
The goddess walks unsteadily to where Natasha lies. She prods her cautiously in the side with her muzzles. The assassin grumbles slightly.
"I have a bruise there Amaterasu." She chokes out. Amaterasu yelps happily and leaps on Natasha, licking her face fervently.
"Ow... Ow... Ow! Amaterasu, get off me!"
The wolf clabbers off her friend, watching her with big eyes.
"I'm fine, don't worry. I've had worse."
"Well then Ammy, you know the drill!" Her Poncle says excitedly.
Amaterasu throws back her head and howls. The sun comes out, illuminating the scene in warm light, piercing through the mist of Agata Forest, and the sky clears, leaving only a few wispy clouds floating in the sky. All around the wolf flowers of every shape and colour imaginable burst into glorious bloom and plants sprout. Even the murky water pools seem to glisten like fresh mountain dew.
When she has finished, the plants recede but the scene still has a verdant, almost surreal feel.
Then Amaterasu pads over to Black Widow and helps the assassin onto her back.
"W-What about Loki?" Natasha asks wearily, one arm around Amaterasu's neck.
"Don't worry about him, babe, we showed him who's boss! He won't come back for seconds any time soon!"
Natasha grimaces as if in pain.
"Don't call me babe, bug."
"Don't call me bug!" Issun instantly fires up.
Amaterasu snorts and starts to lope off to Kamiki village, where she can find someone to treat Natasha.


5. In a game of wits, who would win, Hero #4 or Villain #3?
A: Fearmonger vs Ninetails

"Fearmonger..." The great white fox hisses, her nine tails swirling behind her, "You don't inspire fear in me..."
Fearmonger turns, her glowing green eyes narrowed, her stone-grey skin covered in a web of scars and glowing blue markings. Small horns curl down from her forehead and her messy black hair is pulled back into a ponytail.
"Fearmonger, not fear-inspirer. I am known to be quite the charmer." She sighs, "Or I was..."
The kitsune grins at her.
"I sense you have suffered much pain in your life, Fearmonger."
"I sense you have caused much."
"Ay, under my old master I caused much destruction, but now..." The fox wraps herself around Fearmonger, "Master... Master is something else..."
"What are you, his lap dog?" Fearmonger hisses, backing away.
"Mock me if you will child, but Loki will bring a new age. An age of glory. He will remake this world, and all other worlds."
"Last time I met a man who wanted to remake my world, we had a disagreement." Fearmonger growls.
"You should not let past experiences mar your future." The fox hisses.
"What... What are you suggesting?"
"Join us, Fearmonger. Loki can make you whole again."
"I will never be whole again, demon, but the only thing that has stopped me from ending this life is people like you."
Ninetails narrows her eyes.
"I will not rest until all the scum like you are dead and buried. Tell your master that he can rot in hell."
"You choose rashly, mage. Think of your lover..." The fox smirks, "And your sister..."
In one swift movement Fearmonger has her katana pressed against Ninetails' throat.
"What do you know about my sister?" She demands.
"Master knows many things."
"Let me make one thing clear. If you so much as touch my sister, I will kill you slowly and painfully. I... I will show you why they call me Fearmonger! I will destroy you and all you stand for!" Fearmonger realised that she was shouting.
"So be it, mage. But mark my words, you will regret this day!" And with that, the fox melted into the shadows, leaving Fearmonger alone with her own demons.


6. Hero #1 and Villain #1 are called to a challenge involving odorless and tasteless poison. Describe the challenge and who emerges victorious and who ends up dead.
A: Loki vs Ammy
Setting: Kamiki Village okamiworld.com/wiki/index.php?…

"Amaterasu. We meet again."
Amaterasu growls.
"No bug this time? Did he abandon you."
The wolf shakes her head.
"Well, I guess it's only a matter of time."
Amaterasu does not respond.
In front of the pair sit two wooden cups filled to the brim with clear liquid.
"I'm afraid that it was not wise to accept this challenge, wolf." Loki says, running a long thin finger around the brim of one of the cups, "You have no means of determining which of these cups contains poison and which water. Whereas I..." A small gold spark jumps from his finger, "I can easily tell which cup contains poison."
Amaterasu nods towards the cups, indicating to Loki that he should pick one. Loki smiles as his hand hovers tantalisingly over one cup, then the other, then back to the first. He picks one cup up and places the other before Amaterasu, before considering, and swapping them round.
"On the count of three then, my canine friend. One... Two... Three." Loki drains his glass and Amaterasu picks her's up by the rim and swallows the contents. For a few heartbeats, nothing happens, then Loki grabs his throat as a fiery pain soars through it. He falls to his knees, his eyes watering.
"H-How?" He chokes out.
Amaterasu touches a paw to Loki's cheek.
"When you casted your spell," Amaterasu's voice murmured in the prince's mind, "You sought that which was pure. But you underestimated how dangerous purity can be to those who have lost themselves."
And with that she walked away, leaving the god writhing in pain behind her.

(Explanation - feel free to skip.
Loki and Amaterasu get Kushi to make a deadly poison for them, but Kuchi naturally assumes that it is for a demon. Loki does not see any dishonesty in her actions because she believes she is doing what is asked of her. Amaterasu realises this.
The poison does not kill Loki because he is not actually a demon, but he has strayed sufficiently far from the light so that it causes him extreme pain.)


7. Villain #4 and Hero #3 are called to a battle of strength. Each are given three weapons in which to use; A sword, a bow and ten arrows, and a strong oak staff. Describe the battle and who emerges victorious. What becomes of the loser?
A: Sylar vs Hawk
Setting: City Checkpoint okami.neoseeker.com/wiki/City_…

It was deathly quiet. Hawkeye stood at one edge of the giant bridge, guarded by great flaming phoenix statues. He scrutinises his surroundings carefully. The worn red wood looks sturdy and strong. Behind him, a gate leads to further lands. Far below, a crystal blue river cuts through the valley. In front of him; three weapons: A sword, a bow with ten arrows and a wooden staff. He considers for barely a second before picking up the bow. It is a good weight, he decides, and it sits well in his hand. The arrows however are not of the same quality. One is even splintered in the middle. Regardless, he picks up all of the arrows and, after a moments consideration, the sword. The staff it transpires, is too cumbersome. Then he squints over to the other side of the great bridge.
The silhouette of a figure stands there, unmoving. Cautiously, sensing a trap, Hawkeye loads the bow and aims it the figure. He does not shoot though; this situation definitely does not feel right. Either his opponent, 'Sylar', is a complete idiot or the figure is a decoy.
Then out of nowhere and arrow pelts at Hawkeye's head. He rolls to the floor, only just evading the projectile. Definitely a decoy then. However when he looks up again, the decoy appears to be walking towards him. He can distinguish a male figure, with on hand raised towards him.
And nine arrows rotating around that hand, suspended by an invisible force.
Quickly regaining his composure, Hawkeye shoots two more arrows towards the figure, who must be Sylar, one as a decoy and the other to hit home. To his surprise however Sylar does nothing to stop the arrows and let's them both pierce his chest. The only indication that he had even noticed the arrows is that he pauses briefly and pulls the arrows from his chest, letting them drop to the floor.
Who is this guy?
By now Sylar is only ten paces away from Hawkeye.
"A pity." He says, his voice dark and dangerous and full of a perverse pleasure, "I'd heard that you'd be a challenge." Sylar reminds Hawkeye far too much of Loki.
Hawkeye ignores his jibe and grabs his sword, holding in front of him.
"Someone stabbed me with a sword before..." Sylar muses, disarming the assassin with a lazy flick of his hand, "It is an experience I'd rather not repeat." He shoots another arrow at Hawkeye's feet, which only narrowly avoids.
"Well aren't you fun?"
"I'm not afraid of you." Hawkeye growls.
Sylar taps his forehead.
"You realise I can tell when people are lying, yes? But enough of these games." He lets his arrows fall to the floor and seizes Hawkeye with an invisible force. "It is a pity that Loki wants you alive. I would have enjoyed killing you." He lifts the struggling assassin a few inches off the floor.
"Come then Agent." Sylar says, turning, "Let's go back to that pestilential 'god'."


8. Villains # 2, 4 and 5, and Heroes #3, 4 and 5 are cast out into the wilderness to survive, equipped with nothing but 1 stick of flint, a compass and a hunting spear. Which team would be most likely to survive?
A: N/Zekrom, Sylar and Vivienne vs Hawk, Fearmonger and Garth

In the midst of Northern Country Kamui, in a raging snowstorm, three lonesome figures trudge. Two are supporting the third, who is limping. Having already spent far too long in the snowstorm, they are glad to find a small hollow in the rock face to shelter in. However, in the hollow they discover a strange mirror.
"What's that?" Fearmonger asks wearily, lowering the injured Hawkeye to the floor.
"It has an aura of magic around it..." Garth says, walking towards it cautiously. The moment he touches it, the blue markings on his skin flare brightly, contrasting ageist his ebony skin and casting a strange blue light on the proceedings. He quickly pulls his hand away.
"Don't touch it Garth, it could be dangerous." Fearmonger tells him, "And anyway, we need to look after Hawkeye."
"I'll be fine." Hawkeye protests weakly, but he is ignored.
"What do want to treat him with? We have a spear that's broken in half, a stick of flint, and this-" He holds up a small rusted object, "Which may or may not be a compass."
"Could we use my Katana?" Fearmonger asks.
"Your Katana only has healing properties when you ate using it to injure others. And Hawkeye would have to do more damage to us with it than is safe to heal."
"You're right, of course." Fearmonger turns to Hawkeye. "How did you end up here anyway? Is Loki's base near here?"
Hawkeye shakes his head.
"I think he just took me here so there was nowhere to escape to."
"He got that right."
There is an uncomfortable silence.
"I'm going to look at the mirror again." Garth says.
"What? What if it hurts you? I don't want to have to look after both of you."
"I shall be fine."
Fearmonger furrows her brow but lets him go. Again his markings glow bright blue, but after a few seconds they fade back to their original luminosity. As Fearmonger's eyes adjust, she notices a face in the mirror.
"Amaterasu!" She exclaims, rushing towards the mirror.
"Hey babe!" Issun says, "Miss us?"
"Amaterasu, we found Hawkeye but he's seriously injured."
Amaterasu barked.
"Yup, Ammy can identify where you are through the Origin Mirror."
"The what?"
"Don't worry babe, I'll explain later."
"I would advise you to stop calling her babe, little man." Garth warns darkly.
Amaterasu barks again.
"Yes hang on we'll be there in a jiffy."
"Run fast goddess."
Issun winks.
"Godspeed."

Sam: Well, a barbarian hoard who pillage and torture; I vote run! All those in favour?
Vidar: We run from no man!
Sam: Okay we don't have to run, we could go back the way we came in an orderly fashion.
Vidar: We go back the way we came in an orderly fashion from no man!
